AMBASSADOR FAMILY
2025 All Star Labor Classic
LAUREN WALSH
Meet this year’s Ambassador Family for the Philadelphia All Star Labor Classic, the Walsh family from Chalfont, Montgomery County. Lauren Walsh has a deep connection to this annual basketball showcase, as her grandfather, John “Midge” Clavin (former Business Manager of Sprinklerfitters Local #692) was one of its original founders nearly 38 years ago. Growing up attending the event, Lauren never imagined how profoundly the All Star Labor Classic’s mission and its partner, The Superhero Project, would impact her own family.
In 2024, Lauren gave birth to her son, John, at just 32 weeks gestation. Weighing only 1.15 ounces at birth, baby John faced a 61-day stay in the NICU at Pennsylvania Hospital. During this challenging time, The Superhero Project provided the Clavin family with Angel Eye Camera technology, enabling them to see their newborn around the clock and offering invaluable comfort.
Now thriving at home, baby John and his story inspire this year’s All Star Labor Classic as Lauren seeks to give back and raise awareness for The Superhero Project. The 2025 showcase will take place on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Holy Family University, featuring the region’s best high school basketball talent while supporting families like the Walsh’s.
Sponsorship opportunities remain open to support the event and its charitable mission.
